On arrival at Cochin Airport, greeted by our representative and transferred to your Munnar resort. Munnar is a hill station at 1,600 m above sea level — famous for its tea plantations, rolling hills, and colonial charm. Check into resort and unwind. Dinner & overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit Tea Gardens, Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Blossom Garden, and Rajamalai / Eravikulam National Park (home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr mountain goat). Overnight stay at resort.
After breakfast, check out from resort and drive to Periyar (Thekkady) — an area known for its undulating hills and spice plantations. Check into hotel. Enjoy an elephant ride and cultural programs like Kathakali (classical Kerala dance drama) and Kalarippayattu (ancient martial art). Overnight stay at Periyar resort.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Alleppey. Embark on your private luxury houseboat and cruise on the famous Kerala Backwaters — a splendid network of canals, lakes and coves. The Kettuvallam (traditional rice boat) is equipped with well-appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Sunbathe on the deck, observe the palm-fringed landscape, and enjoy life along the backwaters. After breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and drive to Cochin. En route, explore Kochi sightseeing — The Jewish Synagogue in Jew Town, St. Francis Church (oldest European church in India), Santa Cruz Basilica (built 1557 by the Portuguese), the Dutch Palace, and the 15th-century Chinese Fishing Nets. Evening drop to Cochin Airport / Railway Station.
