Early morning, explore a zone of Kaziranga on elephant back — spot the Indian One Horned Rhino, Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants, and with luck, the Royal Bengal Tiger. The park is also home to pelicans, storks and darters across its water bodies. Return to resort for breakfast. Afternoon: jeep safari through the National Park. Visit Kaziranga Orchid Park. Overnight stay at Kaziranga. Note: Elephant rides are regulated by the Forest Dept., Govt. of Assam. Both safaris are subject to availability.

After breakfast, visit Kamakhya Temple (open 8 AM–1 PM & 3 PM–dusk), Tirupati Balaji Temple, Navagraha Temple, Assam State Museum (closed Mondays), State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Regional Science Centre, and Sukreswar Temple — the 6th Jyotirlinga of Shiva. Frequently Asked Questions

October to April is ideal — pleasant weather across Shillong, Cherrapunji and Kaziranga. Monsoon (June–September) brings heavy rainfall especially at Cherrapunji, which can make roads difficult. Kaziranga National Park is typically closed from May to October due to floods.

Elephant safaris are regulated and controlled by the Forest Department, Govt. of Assam. Bookings are subject to availability and we have no direct control over the slots. We recommend early morning safaris for the best wildlife sightings.

Kaziranga is home to the One Horned Rhinoceros (highest density in the world), Royal Bengal Tigers, Asian Elephants, Wild Buffaloes, Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, and a rich variety of birds including pelicans, storks and darters.

Yes — the Northeast package is suitable for families. However, please note that elephant safaris are not recommended for very young children or those with back conditions. The Brahmaputra cruise is an excellent optional activity for families.
